Good carpet cleaning is the result
of hard work and proper cleaning procedures not gimmicks and misleading advertising
Fundamentals of Carpet Cleaning/Soil Suspension per IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration
Certification)
1. Chemical/Detergent application
2. Heat to increase chemical activity
3. Agitation for uniform chemical distribution and maximize contact
with the soiling.
4. Dwell time
5. Extraction
1.) My carpet cleaning process begins with a hot application of detergent
2.) It is then followed with a Power/Deep Scrub to agitate and evenly work the cleaner on all sides of the
fibers. Less cleaning agents are needed when doing this process. Most companies charge between $15-$20 per room for this
step alone!! *berber/loop carpets may be omitted from this step
3.) After the "POWER SCRUB" pre-conditioning has been completed. I then steam clean the carpets
with a "rinsing agent" using heat and high water pressure. (Warning: Many cleaners
do not use a "rinsing agent", for the simple fact it costs far more than the cleaning detergents do. Water alone will not
remove residue. Worse yet, many cleaners simply run more detergent through their steam cleaning lines leaving large
amounts of residue.)
